The #HighSocietyProject is a collaborative, interactive, multimedia exploration of cannabis subculture in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Cannabis activism is about much more than just getting high. This is a thriving community of advocates, business owners, entertainers and supporters who feel passionately about the benefits of this controversial plant. Whether our subjects are campaigning for legalization, speaking for medical patients, performing stand-up comedy or just having a mind-blowing discussion on a couch somewhere, they are bright, passionate, creative and motivated.

There are thousands of people in this city who are part of the #HighSocietyProject. These are their stories.

This is yours to create. We want to share your experiences of what it means to be part of the cannabis culture in Toronto. Submit your stories, your videos, your tweets, your Instagrams and your Facebook posts using the tag #HighSocietyProject. We will showcase them here, on this website, incorporating video, audio, text and interactive media technologies.

The High Society Project was developed by Sheridan College Journalism-New Media students Liz Goode and Stacey Lambert to bring to light the incredible people and beautiful places that are a part of this exploding counterculture.
